Cheryl Fernandez-Versini on why she wants to wait to start a family and living in the moment

In PART 1 of our exclusive interview, the singer and X Factor judge talks music, living in the moment, and future baby plans

On the surface, Cheryl looks like the same old Cheryl. But it only takes the smallest of scratches to realize the singer sitting in front of us is a totally different person to the one she was less than two years ago.

You might think one day everything is fine, and then the next you get the rug pulled from under your feet, the 31-year-old tells us.

“You have to reevaluate and reconsider, so living in the moment is the only way you can enjoy your life.”

That’s the theme of her new album Only Human, an upbeat mix of tracks, which she says are a message about living your life and not sweating the small stuff.

The singer's perched on the edge of a sofa in an exclusive London hotel, dressed casually in ripped jeans and an animal print top but still looking like she's stepped straight off the X Factor stage on Movie Night, naturally.

She’s glowing and wearing a huge grin - and has everyone reason to be. She’s about to release her fourth solo studio album, scored a number one with the album debut, is back in wowing UK audiences every weekend and is also now better known as Mrs Fernandez-Versini.

When asked if she's thinking about starting a family soon with Jean-Bernard who she wed back in July, she smiles and tells us: “Oh god. Kimberley just had her baby, a boy who I consider as a nephew. I don’t need my own right now.

"I’ve got two... not so much in Lola, but I feel like I’ve got a little baby to take care of in Lauren on the X Factor, so I’m doing alright with 12 nieces and nephews, somebody on X Factor, and a baby with my best friend.”

When we play a game of word association (watch here) and 'married' pops up, Cheryl lets out a little laugh and that beaming grin turns into a megawatt smile.

But just two years ago it was all very different. She was told she had 24 hours to live after contracting malaria and not long after, in 2011, Simon Cowell sacked her from the US version of the X Factor after just one episode. When asked her about her lowest points, she jokes: "How long have you got?”

Continuing, Cheryl says: “Probably when I was sick to be honest. It puts everything into perspective when it’s your health.

"You can have anything in the world but if you haven’t got your health, nothing else matters. Even if you do have money and you’re fortunate to have money, you can’t always pay to be healthy.”

In her new single, out on Sunday, she sings the line ‘I don’t care and it feels so f**king good to say I swear’. But what does she care about now?

“That everything else outside of work is happy and healthy. Family, friends, loved ones, dogs. Not necessarily in that order, but I won’t say the other order as I might get in trouble,” she grins.

Chanel, 23, and A$AP Rocky, 26, are over and unfortunately it sounds like it’s for good.

“They are no longer together. This happened about a few weeks ago,” a source tells E! News. “It was just not working out with both of their busy travel schedules.”

“Time away from each other played a big part in the breakup,” the source adds.
What a shame! These two seem to really care about each other, but it sounds like they want to put their careers first, which is totally understandable.

With supermodel Chanel traveling all over the world for modeling jobs and A$AP working hard on his second studio album, it’s not hard to imagine how they drifted apart.

The one silver lining is that they parted as friends.“They don’t have any hard feelings,” E!’s source adds. “[They] only want the best for each other in the long run.”

Is A$AP and Chanel’s split more serious than we thought? Is it in fact, a broken engagement?

Chanel “happily accepted” the rapper’s sweet proposal, according to the report, but they decided to keep their engagement on the down-low.

In the sweet photo, Ben has his arm wrapped romantically around Jess, and the couple gazed lovingly into each others eyes. The pair posed in the midst of trees and nature. Simple yet elegant!

Ben popped the big question to Jessa back in Aug. 2014. She revealed her stunning .75 carat diamond ring in an Instagram video.

The couple will be getting married in their hometown church in Arkansas after dating for only 11 months.

It will be the second wedding this year for the Duggar family, as Jessa’s older sister, Jill, recently said “I do” to Derick Dillard! They are already expecting a child!

'I never thought I would be so happy': Taylor Swift raves to Esquire about single life in New York City

Inside the November issue of Esquire - which has Penelope Cruz on the cover - the 24-year-old singer insisted, 'I never thought I would be so happy being completely unattached to anyone romantically.'

The Red hitmaker, who has not had a boyfriend since she split from One Direction's Harry Styles in 2013, also raved about her new life in New York City. The 24-year-old musician added: ‘My life has changed drastically in the last year and a half.

And the first song off her fifth studio album 1989, which debuts October 27, is titled Welcome To New York.Meanwhile, Taylor hasn’t gone on a single date since breaking up with Styles over a year and a half ago.

And avoiding dating is partially to set the record straight about who she is, as she considers the intensive focus upon her dating habits ‘a really sexist angle on my life.’

'The only thing I can't control is the spin in the press,' Taylor said.'And so if I know I can't control that, I have to let it go. In some ways, though, you can control it.'I really didn't like the whole serial-dater thing. I thought it was a really sexist angle on my life.'

'The biggest load of s**t': Sam Frost calls Blake Garvey a 'liar' over claims she told him to keep quiet about Louise as Lisa Hyde reveals Bachelor also came onto her

As Carrie Bickmore said herself, 'there's always two sides to every story,' so while Blake Garvey got to explain his side of his convoluted love life, it was only fair that his jilted ex-fiancée, Sam Frost, has her say too.

The 25-year-old, and so to say winner of this year's The Bachelor Australia, will join the runner-up Lisa Hyde on Channel Ten's The Project on Tuesday night following Blake and his new lady love Louise Pillidge's explosive chat on Monday.

And in a taster of what's to come, the marketing assistant, known as never one to hold back, flat out calls her former husband-to-be a 'liar'.

When asked why Blake denied being in love with someone else during his last sit down interview with The Project, the deep-voiced Perth man explained that it was Sam who asked him to keep it quiet.

'I've been requested by Sam not to say anything,' he told Carrie.

But as Sam sat and watched the chat on a laptop alongside her new BFF, she couldn't contain her anger.'That's the biggest load of s*** I have ever heard in my life,' she exclaimed as she clasped her hand over her mouth.

The 31-year-old former topless waiter and owner of a male stripping company also claimed that Sam always knew he had feelings for Louise.But when the camera shot back to the bubbly blonde, her answer revealed an entirely different story.

'You're such a liar!' she said as she glanced at Lisa for support.'When I raised my suspicions with him [about Louise] he just flat out denied it,' she said.

But Sam isn't the only one with a story to tell in the upcoming interview.Lisa also reveals that she believes the indecisive lothario tried to come on to her.'He asked me if I still had feelings for him and if I could see a future with him,' she says in the snippet from the the upcoming chat.

Questioning also turned to Louise, 26, who had been sitting very quietly in their Thai hotel suite.'How does a man that's dumped you on live TV woo you again?' she was asked.'He wrote me a very beautiful, heartfelt letter.' 

She then admitted that her feelings for Blake instantly came flooding back, 'I wouldn't be true to myself if I didn't give it one last try,' and in a strange twist, 'Blake felt he was protecting me by sending me home.'

'I can only ask for honesty. I can't question him - I need to support Blake.'

Nicole Scherzinger might be able to afford a pair of whole jeans, but it turns out, the torn trouser look really works for her after all.

The singer showed off huge amounts of her toned legs in some tight torn jeans today, as she left the This Morning studios.

While the rest of us bundle up in our woollies, the brunette beauty - clearly used to jetting all over the world - was dressed in nothing but a skimpy black top, making the most of a bright(er) day.

Sporting some huge sunglasses, Lewis Hamilton's other half appeared in good spirits as she showed off her enviable waist in the figure-hugging outfit.

Who knew a few rips could do this?

Nicole wore her hair loose and proved anything goes in when it comes to fashion in showbiz, as she performed her new hit on the show.

But she's not the first (nor, we're sure, will she be the last), to rock the torn jeans look.

Our Kim can usually be relied upon to take a fashion trend and really rip the knees out of it. And she hasn’t let us down.

A fellow American, actress Cameron Diaz loves the look too.

And British music stars from Lily Allen to Eliza Doolittle and Ellie Goulding are more than happy to tear it up and start again.

Isabel Lucas glows in gold alongside Rachael Taylor who is beautiful in black as they celebrate the release of The Loft three years after filming wrapped

It's been a long time coming, but Australian actresses Isabel Lucas and Rachael Taylor have finally celebrated the release of the film they worked on together - The Loft.

The sylphlike blondes were in Antwerp, Belgium, on Wednesday for Film Fest Gent and were attending a presentation of the movie.

Isabel, 29, wore a simple gold patterned dress hiding her slender physique.

With her hair in a casual topknot, she kept accessories to a minimum and paired her frock with black heels.

Letting her natural beauty shine through she kept her make up fairly natural.

Rachael, 30,  wore a black above the knee dress with black and white heels and a tan coat, her hair down in a wavy casual style.

It was a cause for celebration given how long it’s taken for the flick to get its release date.

The movie was shot in 2011 but never hit theatres, moving from Warner Bros to Universal as distributors.

However movie goers will still have to wait to see the finished product - It is now expected to be released early next year.

They star alongside James Marsden, Wentworth Miller and Eric Stonestreet.

Rachael and Isabel also attended the world premiere of the film on Tuesday at the festivall, both looking beautiful in long black dresses.

Director, Eric Van Looy, described opening the event as ‘coming home.’

The Loft is a remake of a Belgian movie of the same name by Van Looy.

The film is about five friends, who buy a loft for their extramarital affairs, but they all begin to question how well they know each other after a dead woman (Lucas) is found and no one knows who she is.

While Isabel's face isn't shown in the trailer, it seems Rachael has a larger part.

Playing a woman having an affair with James Marsden’s character, Chris, she appears in the trailer in multiple scenes.
