Kyly Clarke takes a break from dance rehearsals to brighten up the bowsers and raise funds for a cause close to her heart

WAG Kyly Clarke took a break from her Dancing With The Stars rehearsals on Thursday to help support Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Teaming up with BP for the Pink Pledge campaign, Kyly helped paint the town, or in this case the bowser, a bright fuchsia colour in place of the company's signature green at their flagship Sydney site in Rozelle.

The glamorous model and cricketing WAG was there in support of The McGrath Foundation, who are the beneficiaries of the fundraising efforts.

The 33-year-old took to the pink carpet, posed for selfies with customers and even collected donations during her time at the Rozelle store.

Beginning Thursday and running for the next seven days, the initiative will see the petrol company donate 12 cents per litre sold, with a target of $200,000 to fund more breast cancer care nurses around Australia.

The campaign also pledges to donate 20 cents for every selfie taken with hand on heart and the hash-tag 'BP Pink Pledge' posted on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook over the next week.

Kyly then took to daytime TV to spread the word, chatting to Kris Smith, Sally Obermeder and Tom Williams on The Daily Edition.

'I've been a part of The McGrath Foundation for the past four and a half years and that is of course through the cricket community' she told the show's hosts.

'We're hoping everyone can upload an image of themselves taking the BP Pink Pledge,

'So hopefully we'll raise $20,000 through the social media network' Kyly added.

Speaking of her dancing debut on Tuesday night, the model was optimistic after topping the leader board on the show's premiere episode.

Scoring 35 out of a possible 40 points for her contemporary piece with partner Damian Whitewood the contestant confessed the confidence hasn't quite kicked in yet.

'It sort of does in a certain way give you a little more confidence but I think you can never be too complacent in this kind of a competition' she told the trio.

I also think we were very all so close on the leader board and I think everybody's going to be working really hard to make it to the next week'.

The brunette beauty confessed she had been nervous before her debut, after training six hours a day, five days a week to prepare for the number.

'It took a long time to get to find the right emotions, to get to each position to be the right mark and point your toes,' the ametuer dancer said of her experience so far, adding that her jazz and tap dance training as a child did help.

'I think it has given me a hand in the sense to point my toes and understand a little bit more about contemporary, even though I've never done contemporary before,'

'But I think it's really difficult when it comes to Ballroom and Latin because you're having to unlearn everything you know and re-learn a completely different genre and different placements'.

The front runner in the competition so far believes David Rodan, who came second on the score board on Tuesday night and popstar Ricki-Lee are her biggest threats to taking out the mirror ball trophy.

Dancing with The Stars continues next Tuesday night at 7.30pm on the Seven Network and the BP Pink Pledge runs through to next Thursday, 8 October.
